Yoga & Menopause

Lead by Pelvic Floor PT Specialist, Heather Jenny on Saturday, Mar 21st 2:30 - 4:30pm:

Come be part of an empowering, supportive, educational class where we will explore Menopause through a Yogic lens.

Yoga practices can be an important framework to help us understand how to navigate these profound changes in our lives. We will briefly discuss the latest research related to menopause including where you can find resources to support your personal journey during this life transition.

We will thoughtfully move through a 45 min flow and end in a nourishing restorative practice. This flow is accessible to all levels but will include getting up and down off the floor. Class will include guided meditation and journaling practices that will help you gain insight and clarity, while encouraging self-compassion and laughter.

Most importantly, this class offers a sacred space to share experiences, listen deeply to yourself and others and be supported without judgement. This is an opportunity to learn, move, reflect and rest while honoring your life story.

Bring a journal to write in and a picture of an elder woman (70+ years) that means something to you. A printed picture or a photo would be prefect!

Yoga Foundations

4-Week series lead by Cary Spaeth Sunday April 12th - May 3rd, 12:30 - 2pm:

Yoga Foundations is a welcoming, 4 class series for anyone curious about starting—or restarting—their practice. It’s designed for folks who are entirely new to yoga, those returning after time away, and those who jumped directly into faster, flow-based classes and have been doing their best to keep up.

Each session takes time to slow down and look under the hood. We’ll explore the essential building blocks of yoga through asana (the physical posture practice), pranayama (breathing techniques), meditation (degrees of concentration), and a light philosophical introduction, with an emphasis on why we do what we do—not just how to copy shapes. Expect clear explanations, space for questions, and a pace that prioritizes understanding over performance.

The goal of this course is to cultivate a sturdy curiosity and keen attention to embodied experience: helping students feel centered, capable, and at home in their bodies. By the end of the series, participants will have the tools to step into classes with greater ease, discernment, and self-trust, and/or to begin and continue cultivating a sustainable home practice that actually fits their real lives.
